Community member Lisa Crandall tells us one reason she will be voting Yes for Briggs on August 4th!

My name is Lisa Crandall and I am a 20+ year resident of St. Johns. I will be voting YES! on August 4th, 2026 for the renewal of the Briggs District Library millage to continue my local access to MeL-Cat, a Michigan-wide lending service that greatly expands available items. As a reader with varied interests, I have used MeL-Cat to place simple online requests from public and academic libraries around the state. This free service has allowed me to receive materials from MSU, U of M, Mackinac Island, Kalamazoo, Pentwater, Marquette, and dozens of other libraries throughout Michigan.
I will be voting YES! on August 4th for the renewal of the Briggs District Library millage because it expands the collection of the Briggs District Library into a statewide collection at little cost to me.
