Edwin T. Stiles Unit 153 ALA The American Legion Auxiliary is the largest women's patriotic organization in the world.

Membership in the ALA shall be limited to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion, and to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives, and direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who were in the Armed Forces of the United States during any of the following periods:
Gulf War/War on Terrorism (8/2/1990 t

o date of cessation); Panama (12/20/89 to 1/31/1990); Lebanon and Grenada (8/24/1982 - 7/31/1984); Vietnam War (2/28/1961 - 5/7/1975); Korean War (6/25/1950 - 1/31/1955); WW II (12/7/1941 - 12/31/1946); WW I (4/06/1917 - 11/11/1918).
