By God’s grace, July marked a milestone for Baylight Counseling: 154 counseling sessions provided in a single month—our highest monthly total since we began (previous record of 152 set in Oct. 2025).

Looking back makes us even more grateful. In 2013, our very first year of ministry, we provided 150 sessions over the entire year. By God’s kindness, He is allowing us to now serve more people in a single month than we did in our first year.

Numbers like these aren’t the goal—they represent people. Every session is someone seeking hope, wisdom, comfort, restoration, or help in a season of need. It is a privilege to be invited into those stories.

We simply could not do this without the generosity of our faithful donors, the partnership of local churches who share our vision for biblical counseling, and the clients who entrust us with some of life’s deepest struggles. Thank you for allowing us to serve.

Above all, we give thanks to our great God. Every life touched, every opportunity to minister His Word, and every step of growth belongs to Him alone.

Q: As a biblical counselor, you hear some hard things. Do you engage in self-care so as to avoid things like “compassion fatigue”?

Christy Waulk: Why, yes, I have my preferred methods. I especially enjoy riding “Living with the Land” at Disney’s EPCOT to “watch the lettuce grow.”
