Huge win last night. Proud of our Brothers and Sisters from the building trades showing up and sharing with the Rancho Cordova planning commission why the Downtown Dova is a game changer for Rancho Cordova.

The proposed development of a new entertainment district in Rancho Cordova moved forward Wednesday night during a packed planning commission meeting.

The commission unanimously approved the proposal for DOVA, or Downtown Cordova, a planned entertainment hub that would transform a vacant 28-acre business park into a destination featuring an arena, hotels, restaurants and other development.

The proposal will now head back to the Rancho Cordova City Council for final consideration.

⚡ IBEW LOCAL 340 VOLT ALERT — WE NEED YOU TONIGHT

Brothers and Sisters,

We need Local 340 members to show up tonight in Rancho Cordova in support of Downtown DOVA — a major new development that the developer has committed to build 100% UNION.

TONIGHT — Wednesday, September 30
⏰ 5:30 PM
📍 Rancho Cordova City Hall
2729 Prospect Park Drive
Rancho Cordova, CA 95670

Downtown DOVA is a major mixed-use development proposed near Sunrise Boulevard and Highway 50. The project includes a 7,500-seat sports and entertainment arena, along with new housing, hotels, restaurants, retail and public gathering spaces.

Most importantly for us, the developer has committed to building the project 100% union.

That means good union construction jobs and an opportunity to put skilled union tradespeople to work building a major new destination in our region.

The project goes before the Rancho Cordova Planning Commission tonight, and we need union members in the room showing support.

⚡ Come out. Wear your IBEW gear. Stand with your union brothers and sisters.

Unions are saying NO to Prop 45.

Prop 45 is backed by special interests and corporations looking out for profits — not working people. It threatens our jobs, safety, wages, benefits, and communities.

Stand with your union and vote NO on Prop 45 on November 3!

Prop 45 is being bankrolled by special interests and corporations. They’re interested in protecting their profits, not working people like us.

Stand with workers and vote NO on Prop 45.
