Green River Baptist Association GRBA partners with the SBC, North Carolina Baptist Convention, & 34 Southern Baptist Churches in Rutherford County to assist in training and encouragement. I. A.

What Do We Do? Without question the life, mission and ministry of the association is committed to bringing glory and honor to Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. He gave himself for the salvation of all mankind and our collective life, mission and ministry seeks to lift him up in our community. B. The association supports and encourages the mission and ministry of the local church. There are 34 Sout

hern Baptist Churches in our GRBA. The responsibilities of the local church are six fold: worship, Bible study, Discipling, missions/evangelism, ministry and stewardship. C. The association offers training to church leaders for the responsibilities they have in leading their church in these six areas.

The vote for the 2026-27 President of the SBC has been decided, and Dr. W***y Rice has been elected. Both candidates seem to be men of God that have been used greatly by God in the ministries they have been called to, so it was a choice between two good candidates. Congratulations, Dr. Rice.

The popularity of June as "pride month" can feel complex for Christians. How can we love God and our neighbors well while also holding firm to biblical truth about gender and sexuality?

In this article from the archives, Counselor Gene Burrus offers 7 ways for Christians to pray and live well during Pride month:
๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ 1. Use Pride flags and symbols as prompts to pray.
โค๏ธ 2. Ask God to give you a missionary heart for LGBTQ+ people.
๐Ÿค 3. Seek to embody Godโ€™s kind and patient disposition to sinners (like you).
