Thank you to everyone who joined us for CT Trails Day!

It was a beautiful day on the trails at Mine Hill Preserve, where hikers enjoyed the outdoors, explored the preserve, and connected with fellow nature lovers while celebrating CT Trails Day.

Celebrate Connecticut Trail Days with the Roxbury Land Trust!

Join us on Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 AM for a guided hike through the historic Mine Hill Preserve in Roxbury.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Mine Hill Preserve is home to the remains of a 19th-century iron mine and furnace complex. Roxbury Land Trust board members will lead hikers along the historic Donkey Trail, sharing stories about the area’s mining history and the bat hibernacula that now exist within the underground mines.

📍 Meet at the Mine Hill Preserve parking lot
32 Mine Hill Road, Roxbury

Be sure to wear appropriate footwear for this moderate to strenuous 2-mile hike, which includes some steep inclines and declines.

Inclement weather will cancel the event. Rain date: Sunday, June 7.

Join us on Saturday, June 13th for a fun-filled afternoon exploring 7 local farms. Meet the farmers behind our local food, learn about agriculture in our community, and enjoy the beautiful countryside along the way.

After the tours, continue the fun at a social gathering at the Crooked Rail at Mine Hill Distillery. This post-tour event is sponsored by The Farmer's Table, a local nonprofit dedicated to sustaining and supporting farming in our community.
