25 years later, a new generation carries the message forward. 🇺🇸

Seven BTSNE youth had the opportunity to take part in Voices Across 25 Years, a youth-led 9/11 commemoration on Boston Common.

In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, more than 50,000 Massachusetts students created individual tiles carrying drawings, poems, and messages of peace, unity, and support for first responders. Together, those tiles were joined to create a giant American flag mosaic.

Twenty-five years later, two of our youth served as MCs, while five read messages from those original tiles and shared their own reflections and hopes for a better future.

We’re grateful to Empower Peace and The Rendon Group for giving our young people the opportunity to lend their voices to such a meaningful moment of remembrance, unity, and hope.

25 years later, we remember — and we look toward the future.
