How did you spend your long weekend? For Pack 617, the Webelos were camping and hiking among the foliage. Troop 617 had the chance to join the Camporee in NH: adding up to an amazing outdoor weekend for all!

Later in May over 100 pack 617 scouts and families camped out at for our annual Crossover weekend! Skits, songs, s’mores at night; archery, axes, pancakes in the morning; crossing over the handmade rope bridge to a new rank bu afternoon. What a weekend!

It’s been a very busy May for Pack and Troop 617! First, the Troop hit the road, climbing through rain, snow, fog, and ice fields to Carter Notch. The scouts planned, carried, cooked and cleaned their own meals for the weekend - earning their Tenderfoot rank! Best part? Giant boulders at the Ramparts - we can’t get enough climbing. We are so proud of this inaugural bunch of scouts!

The Webelos and Troop 617 got out for a hike to start off March. Pack 617 is welcoming spring. What an awesome day at .1918 !

It’s winter in Boston, which means Pack 617 is still getting outside, having a blast, and learning new skills! Dark and icy just makes us braver! ❄️

How do you prepare city scouts for the Pinewood Derby? Bring the tools to them! Our annual Powertool Potluck featured bandsaws, belt sanders, orbital sanders, shop-vacs, and hand drills. With over 70 cars cut in one evening, we were hard at work. Good luck to the racers at the Pinewood Derby at the end of the month!
