REACH Summer Outreach Dance Program

July 10 - 26, 9am—2pm and
July 27—August 4, 8am—2pm

OPTIONAL 3-day Pedagogy Intensive
July 5-7, 9am – 2pm

Under the guidance of professional dancers and college interns, up to fifteen teenage apprentices will create a 45 minute dance performance and go "on tour" to day camps in the Greater Boston are

a. Students will hone their technical, performance and choreographic skills during the first two- and half-week instructional period; for the final week and a half, the "company" goes on “tour” to perform the performance they’ve created and lead workshops at Boston area camps. In addition, there will be master classes and an evening performance for the public. The all-inclusive fee is $800 and includes two t-shirts (our costume), lunch during instructional period, and a daily snack. Our optional Pedagogy Intensive is free and is for our professional staff, college interns, teen apprentices, and alumni. There are three days of classes, interactive sessions with guest teachers, and brainstorming sessions with a focus on lesson planning, developing your teaching personae, injury prevention, and offering feedback

Full and partial needs-based scholarships are available. All participants must have proof of vaccination or request a medical or religious exemption.
