Today, we celebrate Juneteenth and honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black communities throughout history and today.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, we are committed to creating spaces where young people can learn, lead, and thrive while embracing their identities, voices, and potential. As we reflect on the significance of freedom and progress, we also recognize the work that continues to build a more equitable future for all.

Happy Juneteenth from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston!

In the weeks since the event, we’ve been reflecting on the incredible energy, generosity, and community spirit that made the day so special.

Hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston in partnership with Boston Medical Center, Boston Public Health Commission, and an amazing network of community vendors and resource partners, Boston Wellness Day was built around a simple belief: wellness should be accessible, welcoming, and rooted in community.

Together, we brought health resources, screenings, movement, family support services, food, and fun directly to the neighborhood, creating a space where families could connect, learn, and thrive.

Check out this sizzle reel to look back at some of our favorite moments from the day. To continue your wellness journey, visit the link in our bio to view and download a resource list featuring the organizations, programs, and services available to support you and your family.

Thank you for helping make this day meaningful. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

A Night with Friends brought together supporters, young people, and community leaders for an evening celebrating the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.

From reconnecting with Friends Council members to hearing from our Club youth, the night highlighted the power of investing in our youth, opportunity, and experiences that help our young people thrive.

Thank you to our event co-chairs, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who joined us in investing in the next generation.

There’s still time to support free memberships for our young people across Boston and Chelsea, donate at the Next Gen Challenge link in our bio!💙

GREATNESS LOADING…

Over the past few weeks, we celebrated the launch of The Greatness Collection across our freestanding Clubs in Roxbury, Dorchester, Southie, Chelsea, and Charlestown.

Our teens heard the inspiring stories of BGCB alumni who shared how they discovered their greatness, received their Greatness Collection hoodies, and came together to enjoy great food and community.

Thank you to our alumni speakers for sharing your journeys and showing our young people what’s possible. And thank you to our partners, Denise Korn (Yellow & Partners), Peda Edouard (Mathmatik Athletics), and Chris Caldwell (TPOF Studio), for helping bring this vision to life.

“Introducing the Greatness Collection” shares the story behind Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston’s first-ever member apparel line.

Created in collaboration with Denise Korn, Peda Edouard, and Chris Caldwell, and shaped by the voices of BGCB teens, the Greatness Collection was designed to celebrate the confidence, creativity, leadership, and individuality that already exist within every young person who walks through our doors.

More than apparel, the collection is a statement: greatness is not something our members hope to achieve someday. It is something they already carry within them. Through launch events across Boston and Chelsea, teens received their hoodies and a powerful reminder that they are seen, valued, and capable of extraordinary things.

At Boston Wellness Day, we had a panel on neurodivergence featuring insights shared by Katie Campbell, MA, Senior Community Wellness Advocate in Boston Medical Center (BMC)’s Neurodivergent Urban Youth Clinic.
During the panel, Katie shared practical ways to better support neurodivergent individuals in everyday life, highlighting how small, intentional changes in our environments and routines can improve access, participation, and inclusion at home, school, and work.
From sensory and cognitive supports to structure, regulation, and social communication, these five areas offer a framework for thinking about how we can create more accessible and supportive spaces.
