Shadow Cats

Big man Bruce is popping by to wish you a happy Sunday! 😻🐾

This sweet ole fella might look intimidating due to sheer size, but we promise he's as nice as can be! He's all bark and no bite, and even then, his "bark" will melt your heart. He might have FIV and heartworms, but that doesn't slow him down one bit.

Bruce has our hearts, and we hope he has yours too! Have a good Sunday, y'all🤸🐈🩷

Our darling Clementine is 2 years old today! 🍊🥳🪅

Having been with Shadow Cats since May of this year, Clementine has definitely made herself at home here at the Sanctuary. She's a feline leukemia positive resident in Cookie's Cove, and has many-a-friend in there to keep her company! One thing about Clementine, she wears her heart on her sleeve, and always makes it known when she wants attention, as well as when she DOESN'T want attention😹. She definitely keeps her roommates in check... that's for sure.

Nonetheless, we're so lucky to have Clementine here with us, and it's always a treat to have her come running to your lap, watching her lounge at the catio, or have her screaming her head off at you when dinner rolls around.

If you'd like to make Clementine's birthday extra special, you can view our Amazon wishlist using the link below! There are many treats on there we know she'd enjoy😼

Here's to many more birthdays with you, Clementine! But for now, happy 2nd🤗✨💐

Happy Caturday friends💓 Our guys are all over the place this AM!

Arnold's lazin' about cuz it's what he does best😼😴

Hamilton's looking awfully stoic and handsome! If you watch him long enough, he might just convince you he's a statue🗿

Felix is enjoying some of those morning rays!🌅

And Kibble seems to have tucked himself back into bed... can you blame him?🤷‍♀️

Have a great weekend y'all!

Earlier this week, we received more than 2,000 pounds of dry food as part of Tomlinson's Feed Pound 4 Pound!

100% of this food will go towards community cats! We've already began distributing this food to our network of trappers and friends of the organization caring for colonies and strays. None of this was possible without you all, thank you to everyone who donated bags, and Tomlinson's for matching! Here's to TNR, and saving more cats!

It's officially Friday, here's what you missed on "SHADOW CATS"! (Staff Photo Dump)

Our gorgeous Elsa glamorously posing for our staff. She's quite the muse!

Callie and Mystique sharing some nap time together. All our most feral cats have a soft spot for her!

Our newest resident, Omelette, lurking to see what's going on in Cookie's Manor.

And, what's this? A budding romance between William and KitKat? Talk about the long game, Willie😹

Happy Friday y'all! 🦋🎃🍂

We recently had the wonderful opportunity to go to the Grand Opening of the Wildlife Rescue of Central Texas out in Bastrop. It's so amazing to see new players in the animal rescue community, cats or not!

We're so excited to watch this organization thrive, happy Grand Opening! 🦉🌿🐾

Stitch and the rest of the kitties in Cookie's Cove & Cottage had a BLAST yesterday with their celebratory SCOP Treat Party! 🎊🍨

Thank you, once again, to everyone that supported us during our fundraiser. This treat party was all in good fun, but the impact you made here will benefit all of our Sanctuary residents! Don't worry, Stitch was benevolent enough to share some Treataritas with Cookie's Kingdom & Manor, and Wild Side and Oasis got some extra treats and loving too!

If you know Shadow Cats, you likely have also gotten to know Tabbytha. This sweet girl has been with us for almost 9 years, and has been a shining light in our journey ever since!

For those who don't know, we were contacted about Tabbytha in Winter 2017, when she suffered an injury likely caused by seeking warmth near a car's fan belt. Luckily, she received life-saving care, and now breathes through an opening in the bridge area of her nose.

Now, Tabbytha's good as new, and has truly come to flourish here in the Sanctuary! She loves her catio time, counter time, and lap time, but don't be surprised if she starts drooling on your leg!

Tabbytha is a Shadow Cat through and through, and we're so lucky to have her grace us with her presence! 🥰🐾🍀

A spotlight for some of our shier kitties, though we're sure they'd like to be out of it as quick as possible😹💞

Pickle, Mystique, and Milo are all feline leukemia positive residents in Cookie's Cottage. Of the three, Mystique is probably the most okay with being spotted, but she definitely prefers to perceive, rather than being perceived.

Pickle, on the other hand, is on top of the cat condos more often than not, but she always knows when dinnertime is near! It's always a treat to immediately lock eyes with her when walking in the room considering how gorgeous she is!

Milo, who is the newest to Shadow Cats of the three, actually came from the same colony as Pickle! He's still adjusting to Sanctuary life, but he seems to be most playful in the dead of night. That's alright, we'll keep watching him through the cameras!

These residents remind us that love is strong even from afar. We might not ever be able to pet these babies, but knowing they're safe and secure at the Sanctuary is enough! 🫶
