Today we have a couple of cats who were just informed Caturday is over and that in less than a day, they have to go back to work. Stitch and Snarky are two of our more uniquely patterned friends at the sanctuary. First let's talk Stitch!

Stitch is a black and white feline leukemia kitty. We absolutely love the little upside down heart on his nose 🖤 He arrived to Shadow Cats with severe mange, which you can still see evidence of on his crunchy, BUT CUTE, ears. He's turned into quite the love bug.

Snarky is a longtime resident. Originally TNR'd in the sanctuary neighborhood, she came here with two of her litter mates and though she exhibited feral behavior at first - thus earning her the name Snarky - she's mellowed out 100% and is one of the most affectionate cats you'll ever meet!

KitKat's on the prowl this Caturday afternoon! 🐱

As an Oasis staple, KitKat's hobbies include roughhousing with scratching posts, squeaking at any near passerby, or tolerating William and his antics. All with her natural eyeliner, enough to make the rest of us jealous! 😹

Tongue out?? On a Thursday?! Yep, it appears so...

Bruce is one of our Wild Side boys, and he's definitely earned his spot! He loves horsin' around with with his buds - Kibble, Crinkle Fry, and Tommy. But, once he's tired out a bit, he can be quite the gentle giant (towards people of course, Crinkle Fry doesn't get off that easy). Bruce is one of our biggest sweethearts, literally, and we wouldn't change a thing about him! 💟🐈

Kitten shenanigans with Ms. Pippa 💚

We don’t get a lot of kittens through the sanctuary but when we do, the energy definitely shifts haha. This sweet FeLV+ gal is a heart thief and loves to play. She can be a bit shy with humans but not with her feline roommates. We love seeing her grow and flourish here at Shadow Cats 😻

We know what you're thinking, no it's not Groundhog Day! Here's the up-to-date flyer, this time with the right email for RSVPs 😹

In case you missed it, come join us at the Shadow Cats Sanctuary for a fun, relaxed afternoon! It is our opportunity to get to know you, our friends and supporters, a little better, and for you to get to know our cats! There is no fundraising involved, just the opportunity to thank you personally, have some fun, chat with our staff, and to visit with all the cats that call Shadow Cats their home.

This gathering, the first of the Fall season, is Wednesday September 16th at 2pm. If you would like to get to know us better, we might just be your cup o' tea! There will be drinks, scones, sandwiches, and other sweet treats. It's a small gathering, so if you would like to attend this first get together, please send a firm RSVP to [email protected].

How’s this for hump day? Staffer Abby has her very own Enzo hump!

Normally a pretty shy guy, Enzo hails from our feline leukemia population. His dilute orange coat is quite a standout color. As for his affection for Abby? That’s just how we roll in terms of feline welfare. And if you end up on the floor or in a seat, chances are a cat is going to post up on you 😻
