Round Rock Police Departments Victim Services Dept. now has a budget of $10,000 available yearly from this fund. The fund is providing shelter, car seats, transportation, food and more. We need to up the budget as our usage is nearing that level. Future needs are counseling services and a room at Hope Alliance for PD’s.

This fund will be the beneficiary of this years April 30th Work Out Drill put on by the RRPD. April 27th marks the 4 year anniversary of Charles’ death and this W.O.D. is done in his honor. He would be so proud to know that those he served are continuing to be served not only by our wonderful Round Rock Police Dept. but also by this fund and it’s contribution to victims. Help our Victim Services dept. help victims!

I would like to present you with the official challenge coin to commemorate the establishment of this self-sustaining Fund in Charles’ memory. A coin will be sent to you with a donation of $100 or more.

This fund provides a budget for the Victim Services Department of the Round Rock Police. Help us assist those in crisis. We have met 2/3 of our yearly budget goal.

It is of sadness that I learned of the passing of Raul Martinez. His death serves no purpose in the loss of Charles. I long ago forgave him for his poor judgement in getting behind the wheel that day. I hope that through this fund we can learn the reasons why so many have a calling to this profession. I hope that through Charles death others can learn the value of driving sober and drug free. A car and driver, it’s sheer weight, attentiveness necessary and potential to cause harm, is to be taken seriously every time you get behind the wheel!
