Tonight some of our scouts went on a hike in the rain at the Pine Bush. Anthony and Jayden worked on their cooking merit badges and brought yummy food to prepare and share with everyone on the trail. We also sang happy birthday to Ms. Carol and enjoyed some cupcakes. Of course where we stopped to enjoy our dinners, we were swarmed by all the bugs lol. But we survived and caught a double rainbow on the way home.

Last night we held Troop Elections! Discussions were had about different leadership roles. We had one scout step down from his leadership role. 2 of our scouts kept their leadership roles and added a second role, one is our Quartermaster and one is a Den Chief. Our new scout became the Troop Scribe. One scout stepped up to be our Librarian/Historian and another scout decided to become Assistant Quartermaster. Congratulations Scouts! Afterwards they worked on rank requirements.

Tonight Scoutmaster Reynolds checked in with scouts on requirements and got things signed off for Jayden, Hunter and Derek. We also practiced the square lashing with our new scout Blessin. And we had a scout complete a Board of Review. Congratulations Derek on becoming Second Class rank!

This afternoon two of our scouts helped out with Color Guard and the Pledge at the Veterans event at the Elks Lodge alongside Pack 3054 and Troop 3054. Before leaving one of our scouts was asked if he could make a newspaper hat for one of the vendors that was outside which is pictured below.

Today was the last day of camp! The scouts and our leaders who attended were recognized for all their hardwork this week...

Today was the last day of camp! The scouts and our leaders who attended were recognized for all their hardwork this week. Dominick completed Trail to First Class. Derek got the Paul Bunyan award and the whole Troop helped with the service project. Michael and Derek got Honor Camper Honorable Mention and Dominick got Honor Camper. Congratulations to all the scouts!

Yesterday was a busy day for our scouts! Started at 6am with 3 of our scouts participating in the Polar Plunge. Later in the day after dinner they worked together to clean up the Iroquois site for a service project. And they ended the night celebrating their perfect score for their campsite with s’mores thanks to the s’more kits Mr. Waters sent to them to enjoy! They’re in the home stretch now as they finish up their classes today.
