Todayl, March 25, is Cerebral Palsy Awareness.
Cerebral Palsy aka CP is a lifelong condition affecting motor function starting in childhood. We wear green today in honor of Cerebral Palsy Awareness.

Dr. Sarmiento was granted the Gabriella Molnar Pediatric Research Award in 2022 which supported multiple recent publications regarding transition from pediatric to adult care for patients with cerebral palsy and their families.

Sarmiento CA, Wyrwa JM, Glaros C, Holliman B, Brenner LA. Experiences of young adults with cerebral palsy in pediatric care transitioning to adult care. Dev Med Child Neurol. 2025;67:99–110. https://doi.org/10.1111/dmcn.15907

We hope by raising awareness and raising funds, we are able to advance research on cerebral palsy as PM&R physicians!
