FLOCK CARES CELEBRATES THE LOVING SACRIFICE OF FOSTER PARENTS: For over a decade, FLOCK has partnered with Miracle Hill Ministries in Greenville, South Carolina. This passionate organization operates rescue missions, addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, a food ministry, and they serve displaced children and foster families through their foster home community and residential foster care programs.
“This month, FLOCK Cares — an outreach initiative recognizing individuals serving in the community who often go unnoticed — honored a group of foster parents who faithfully serve Miracle Hill’s Foster Care Community,” said Curtis Carr, House of Raeford’s Corporate Director of Community Outreach. “These six families have sacrificially committed themselves to loving and caring for children who need a safe home, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank them for the important work they do.”
As part of the celebration, FLOCK hosted a special dinner on the grounds and presented each foster family with a gift basket, a devotional, and a generous gift card. In addition, House of Raeford will donate chicken to this group of families to assist with their meal preparation needs.
The foster parents honored include:
Johnny and Theresa Dye, who not only foster children but have adopted four and are pursuing kinship/guardianship of two more.
Mark and Kelly Gillespie, who have adopted four children and are currently fostering a sibling group of four.
Nathan and Jamie King, who are fostering three young people.
Paul and Terry Gillespie, who care for five children in their family home on the Miracle Hill campus.
Caleb and Kathryn Durham, who nurture two teenagers and a baby.
Becki Davis, a single foster mom who has provided hope and stability to a young girl for nearly three years.
