We really enjoyed ourselves at the Lupus Awareness Month walk that our chapter member hosted in Mount Olive. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that plagues women of color all over the world, and it is believed that there are a lot of people who are suffering with it, and do not know because they have not been diagnosed because it is so hard to pin point. That is why events like this are so important. We look forward to participating again next year.

This week we delivered around 30 boxes and packs of diapers to Duplin County Partnership for Children as a service project to support families in Duplin County. This is one of our ongoing service projects, and we are honored to be one of their partners and supporters because they do so much for our community! Special thanks to our new sorors Shelia C. Ward and Marketa Yelverton Hargrove for heading up this project!
