🍿 It's Official... The Duplin Pearls Community Foundation Popcorn Fundraiser is ON and POPPING! 🍿

Today marks the start of our "Pearls That Pop" fundraiser, and we need your support!

From June 22–29, you can satisfy your sweet, salty, cheesy, and caramel cravings while helping us make a difference right here in our community. Every bag purchased helps support scholarships and community initiatives through the Duplin Pearls Community Foundation.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was founded on the principles of scholarship, service, and the pursuit of higher education.

Upholding this commitment, Chi Iota Omega Chapter awarded seven $500 scholarships to graduating seniors attending Duplin County Schools. For the past 22 years, Chi Iota Omega Chapter has remained committed to supporting educational opportunities for students in the local community. This year, the chapter presented five AKA-CIO High School Scholarships and two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Scholarships. Scholarship recipients were chosen based on their academic excellence, community service, and demonstrated leadership.

We proudly celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding students and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their schools, communities, and future careers. Through continued investment in education, the chapter remains
dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders and scholars.

We are excited to officially introduce the Duplin Pearls Community Foundation, Incorporated a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2026 by the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Chi Iota Omega Chapter. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Chi Iota Omega

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to strengthen Duplin County and surrounding communities by promoting educational advancement, supporting physical, mental, and financial well‑being, inspiring civic engagement, and creating opportunities that empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.

Today, we invite you to meet the dedicated leaders bringing this vision to life. Be sure to watch our Board of Directors introduction video and get to know the individuals committed to serving our community with passion, purpose, and excellence.
