Child Care Aware of NWA

Child Care Aware of NWA We bring together early care providers, families, and community partners across Benton County to expand access to quality early learning.

Through resources, support, and collaboration, we’re helping every child start strong. We manage a database of child care providers and generate referrals for parents in 17 counties in NWA and the River Valley and Southcentral Arkansas. We host the Healthy Families America Home Visiting Program in Benton County. Our parenting classes and provider trainings are currently online based though Zoom.

Experiencing poverty during childhood can disrupt all aspects of a child’s life, from their physical and mental health development to their performance in school. Our team attended the Curriculum Showcase last week that was put on by Washington County Local Lead. They had vendors and break out sessions to go over curriculum on the ADE approved list currently. Providers and attendees had the opportunity to engage and ask questions about the curriculum.

In 2027-2028 school year, if you receive state funding you will be required to fully implement High Quality Instructional Materials. Check out the current ADE list here: https://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/Offices/office-of-early-childhood/content--development/curriculum

Washington County Local Leads and Benton County Local Leads (that’s us!) are here to help providers in our area learn about high quality materials that drives success from the earliest years.
