πŸ’œ For nearly 40 years, NWA Women’s Shelter has been a place of safety, hope, and healing for survivors of domestic violence in Northwest Arkansas.

As we prepare to celebrate this milestone anniversary in August, we're launching our Summer of Safe Nights campaign, a community-wide effort to ensure survivors and their families continue to have a safe place to turn. Every donation represents more than safe shelter. It's the ability to truly rest after crisis, a step toward healing, and a chance to begin again.

We're especially grateful to the team at The Hershey Company in Bentonville for hosting a kickoff fundraising event and helping us start the summer with generosity, compassion, community spirit, and s'mores! 🍫πŸ”₯

Join us this summer as we honor 40 years of impact and invest in the future of survivor support in Northwest Arkansas.

Thank you to everyone who made our second annual Hope in One a success! Whether you attended, sponsored, volunteered, brought your family, represented a nonprofit partner, or helped spread the word, we are so appreciative.

Because of this amazing community, we transformed fun into impact and raised enough to provide 113 nights of safe shelter for individuals and families seeking safety, support, and a fresh start.

A special thank you to our sponsors:

During AAPI Heritage Month, we recognize and celebrate the strength, diversity, and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, and also acknowledge the importance of raising awareness around issues that impact these communities, including domestic and intimate partner violence. πŸ’œ

Survivors in AAPI communities may face unique barriers when seeking help, including cultural stigma, language barriers, isolation, fear of bringing shame to family, or limited access to culturally responsive resources. These challenges can make it even harder to reach out for support.

Everyone deserves safety, support, and to be heard without judgment. By raising awareness and fostering compassionate conversations, we can help create safer and more supportive communities for all survivors.

On International Day of Families, we’re highlighting what nonviolent, healthy family dynamics can look like, because everyone deserves relationships rooted in care, not control. πŸ’œ

For many survivors, part of healing means learning what healthy relationships can look and feel like. Creating safe, supportive family environments can help break cycles of violence for future generations.
