📚 BETTER BOUND BOOKSTORE & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

A Strategic Pause. A Stronger Future.

Dear Better Bound Friends, Supporters, and Community,

As we continue our commitment to empowering young people through workforce development, education, and meaningful opportunities, we recognize that sustainable growth sometimes requires us to pause, reflect, and prepare for what comes next.

Better Bound will temporarily pause regular bookstore operations and youth program activities during November and December 2026, with plans to reopen in January 2027.

During this time, we will focus on strengthening our organizational foundation, addressing important operational and personal priorities, and planning for the continued growth of our mission.

What This Means for Our Community:

📌 Youth Applications: We will continue accepting applications Monday through Friday for our January program reopening.

📦 Online Orders: Our online store will remain active, with staff available to process and ship orders. Please continue to shop!

📚 Physical Donations: We are temporarily suspending acceptance of donated books and other physical inventory due to an abundance of inventory and limited storage capacity.

🏠 Planning for Growth: We will also evaluate whether our current location can accommodate our expanding needs or whether a larger facility will better serve our young people and community.

We are not closing Better Bound. We are making intentional decisions to ensure its future is strong, sustainable, and impactful.

Our mission remains unchanged: providing young people with the skills, opportunities, guidance, and support they need to build successful futures.

Thank you for believing in our mission, standing alongside us, and helping us create opportunities for young people who deserve to be seen, valued, and empowered.

This is not goodbye. This is preparation for what comes next.

Dear Better Bound Friends and Supporters,

Due to unforeseen circumstances and some necessary adjustments to our organizational schedule, we have made the decision to postpone our upcoming yard sale until a later date.

While we were looking forward to this event, we believe that taking a little extra time will allow us to come back better prepared and make the event even more successful.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support of Better Bound Book Store & Youth Development.

Our commitment to empowering young people and creating opportunities for their future remains as strong as ever.

❤️ Sometimes moving forward means knowing when to pause, regroup, and prepare for something greater.

Better Bound has been blessed by the generosity of the GFWC, and last night we were honored to receive a donation from your Down & Derby Fundraiser. Your support helps us continue creating safe, inspiring spaces for teens to grow, lead, and discover their purpose.
