Pathways Community Center promotes collaboration among service providers, connecting those in poverty with resources that pave a path towards self-sufficiency. Our Center is a network hub of health and human service agencies, including homeless shelters that provide free programs, resources, and services to impoverished men, women, and families throughout York, Chester, and Lancaster
Counties. WHO WE SERVE:
Pathways helps the agencies so they can assist their clients better. HOW WE HELP:
The agencies receive 24/7 security, below-market operating space, a network hub, and care navigation.

HOW TO GET HELP:
Pathways serves as a "network & referral hub." Feel free to call ahead if you have questions at 803-366-7284. Our Community Center houses 17+ health and human service agencies, including 3 shelters (Bethel Day Shelter, The Haven Men's Shelter, and the Life House Cottage emergency women's shelter) that offer free programs and services. No appointment is needed. Pathways Intake Specialist will: coordinate care through assessments, referrals, and warm handoffs to service providers; offer friendly, compassionate care and a listening ear; and assist in identifying resources. Pathways Intake Specialist cannot: provide financial assistance; provide housing vouchers or hotel vouchers; provide immediate shelter (some shelters have waitlists); or provide transportation bus passes or moving services. INTAKE HOURS:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Saturday & Sunday at Bethel Day Shelter, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. After-hours helpline: United Way of York County 2.1.1 support, (866) 892-9211

(1) Stability: rent & utility support; government IDs; shelters; computer access; showers, and laundry. (2) Wellness: food & SNAP benefits; victim advocates; medical/healthcare; addiction & mental health counseling; and emergency clothing. (3) Financial Management: financial counseling, financial literacy, and tax filings. (4) Skill Development: GED & higher education, certificate programs, and life skill classes.
