The RCCB was on 🔥 tonight at our rehearsal for our "America Mosaic" Concert on Tuesday, October 13th at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Road, Rochester.

“American Mosaic” celebrates the many voices that have shaped the American experience. From patriotic anthems and traditional hymns to jazz, popular music, Hollywood, contemporary composers and the musical traditions brought to America from around the world, each selection represents a different piece of the nation’s cultural story. Together, they form a portrait of an America that is diverse, evolving and continually being created.

The concert will also feature Don Loomis, as narrator on the Michigan Consortium Premiere of "Where We Meet" that celebrates the 250 anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Our 2026 First place RCCB High School Scholarship Winner Jueon Kim, flute from Rochester Adams High School will also be featured as soloist!

Lastly, the RCCB is once again partnering with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra/Detroit Harmony Initiative for their October Used Instrument Donation Campaign. To date, Detroit Harmony has distributed more than 3000 instruments to the youth of Detroit thanks to the generosity of many who have donated instruments. To that end, we are inviting concert goers to scrounge their closets for any band, string or percussion instruments (in any condition) they are no longer using and bring them to the concert to donate. Ask your friends and relatives too!

The concert is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

My 1st Christmas concert where Santa played Trombone and conducted Sleigh Ride

Who are musicians you look up to?

I don’t have just one. I like musicians that take time to teach, mentor and share their gifts and knowledge. I look up to my dad who instilled the love of music in me at a young age.

Favorite way to spend a day off?

Go to the gym, do some shopping and spend time with my husband.

Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, The Carpenters, The Osmonds,

Spending time with my family and perfecting the Koi pond.
