Our next project highlight:

A big thank-you to the Paychex team for another incredible United Way Day of Caring visit at our Winton site. With over 12 years of support, this amazing group spent the day mulching, weeding our outdoor classroom, and even building carts for our Day Habilitation program. We’re always grateful to welcome them back—and to see their signature “rock” photo tradition continue year after year!

This , we’re kicking off a special series highlighting the incredible groups who volunteered with us during Day of Caring! 💙

First up — an amazing team AND our 2026 Volunteers of the Year Nixon Peabody LLP. For more than 25 years, they have been dedicated supporters of our mission and longtime friends of our Jefferson IRA.

This year, their team rolled up their sleeves and transformed the outdoor spaces with mulching, weeding, raking, planting, and plenty of hard work to help make the home look beautiful for the individuals who live there. 🌿🌸

We are so grateful for their continued partnership, generosity, and commitment to giving back year after year. Thank you, Nixon Peabody, for helping create welcoming spaces and brighter days!

What FUN! 🥍

Our children & adult programs had a visit from the Maryville Saints' Women's Lacrosse team out of Missouri. The 33 student-athletes & their coaches played with our classrooms on the playground and folded into our day habilitation program answering lacrosse questions and learning about the group's activities.

We are excited to cheer on the team as they head into the NCAA Division II Final Four tomorrow at RIT.
