Tell everybody Danny Boy's here! This little Yorkie arrived in poor body condition, estimated to be around 7 years old. Tough little cookie, Little stinker. He's been shaking it off, just wanting to know when the next treat or meal is coming. Other than that, he's just resting easy, healing up, and getting ready for what's next... Little does he know it's a bath and grooming. 😀

Barry is a 5-year-old Lab mix who came to PCHS through one of our rescue partners. When he arrived, he had clearly been through a lot. He was very underweight and had a severe skin infection, painful ear infections, overgrown nails, and untreated allergies. With the care he has received, Barry is doing so much better! His fur is growing back, his skin is healing, and you can really tell how much better he feels. Now that he's feeling good, his friendly and outgoing personality is really shining through. Barry is a big boy at his proper weight, weighing about 90 pounds. He will need to stay on allergy medication for the rest of his life, but we think he is worth every bit of it. He would also benefit from some basic obedience training and we think he would enjoy having another friendly dog in his new home. Most of all, Barry is looking for what every dog deserves-a family who will give him a lifetime of love and let him know just how wonderful life can be.

First look at our sleek and sweet Sienna girl . Transfer from impound partner, Pitbull Terrier mix, estimated at 3 years old. Very friendly, overly excitable at first meet. Gets along great with other new dogs in our yard. So, very likely dog social for anybody looking for partners in their household. She just needs some work, socialization with learning how to sit, lay down, house training and the like.

First look at CoCo. She just went up on the website and and is working through her fears, loosening up a bit and starting to show her sweet nature. Has even started playing with some of the other new arrivals. Don't know her history other than she came to us from an impound partner and is a Shepherd mix, estimated to be around 3 years old.

The Cabbage Patch Pups, need we say more??

Well, we will then.. They are four boys and one girl, 2 months old. With the darndest names. We got Sheldon Rex, Jovany Lincoln, Don Cornelius,Ariel Leila & Richie Flynn. Three of them are very difficult to tell apart. Sheldon Rex is the black one. Jovany Lincoln is a darker shade than the other three tannish ones. Jalapeno is a middle-aged Poodle mix who came to us from one of our rescue partners. He arrived very matted and was pretty nervous, so we don't know much about his past. We do know that he is a sweet little guy who is slowly learning that people can be pretty nice. At about 15 pounds, Jalapeno is a small guy who we think would be happiest in a calm, quiet home where he can take his time getting comfortable. He will need regular grooming to keep his coat looking and feeling good. He is starting to make friends with the staff and volunteers here, and we love seeing those little bits of trust beginning to show. Jalapeno just needs someone who will be patient with him, give him some time, and let him become the happy little dog we know he can be.

Remi Ray is a 2-year-old Spaniel mix who came to PCHS as a stray. She is a little shy at first, but once she gets comfortable, she is a very sweet girl. At only about 17 pounds, she is the perfect size for a warm lap! Remi Ray loves going for walks and getting attention from her people. She would love to find someone who will give her a little time to come out of her shell and then enjoy all the love she has to give. She is a sweet little girl who would really love a lap of her own.

Bear is a 4-year-old Rottweiler who came to us from an area rescue. He is an absolutely beautiful guy and weighs 114 pounds. Bear enjoys car rides and is a nice guy, but he can be strong on a leash. Rottweilers are a strong, powerful breed, so we encourage anyone interested in Bear to do their research and make sure the breed is a good fit for their lifestyle. Bear would do best with an experienced owner who is comfortable handling a big dog and understands the breed.

Meet Mordo!
Don't let the name fool you, while Baron Mordo might be Doctor Strange's brooding comic book arch-rival, this sweet boy possesses zero evil master plans. The only thing this Mordo is plotting to steal is your heart (and maybe a stray tennis ball).
At just 10 months old and a solid, handsome 56 pounds, Mordo is in the sweet spot of young adulthood: past the tiny-puppy stage, but full of youthful joy, curiosity, and bounce. He sports a sleek black Labrador coat accented with charming white dipped paws and a matching white chest patch that make him look permanently dressed for a black-tie event.
Despite finding himself at the shelter through an owner surrender, Mordo hasn't let a bump in the road dampen his spirits. He is taking shelter life with total grace, flashing a goofy, tongue-out smile for everyone who stops by his kennel. He is wonderfully good-natured, attentive, and eager to please.
