Honoring Our Wounded Military, Inc. HOWM was established to support wounded military veterans. We support: Homes for Our Troops, Semper We have over 500 people attend our annual banquet.

We have raised and donated $2,200,000 to date through our events and contributions from supporters. Since the beginning:
We have had over 280 golfers participate each year. Over 500 runners participate each year.! More than 250 volunteers have given their time, ideas, suggestions, patience, and brought enthusiasm and energy over the past 9 years. The Silent and Live Auctions at our gala are alway

s special. Many of our local businesses, sports teams, sponsors, community members and countless others have given us awesome items for the auction. We are proud of what we have accomplished in our 9 years as a charity. We have made great friends, brought communities together, had some laughs, and most importantly made a difference in the lives of our wounded veterans and their families.

Today, we honor 251 years of courage, commitment, and sacrifice from the men and women who have served in the U.S. Army since June 14, 1775.

From the battlefields of the Revolutionary War to missions around the world today, Army Soldiers have answered the call to defend our nation and protect our freedoms.

At H.O.W.M., we are grateful for the service, dedication, and resilience of all Army veterans, active-duty Soldiers, Reservists, National Guard members, and military families.

At H.O.W.M., it is truly an honor to stand alongside For Our Troops and support their incredible mission of building specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans. 🇺🇸

Being recognized among the 2025 Top 10 Fundraisers is not just an achievement for us — it is a reflection of every sponsor, volunteer, donor, golfer, and supporter who believes in giving back to our nation’s heroes.

Every fundraiser we host is about more than raising money. It’s about restoring independence, providing hope, and showing our wounded Veterans that they are never forgotten.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who never made it home. 🇺🇸 Met Church honored the Missing Man Table this past weekend.

The Missing Man Table is a powerful symbol of remembrance for our fallen heroes, prisoners of war, and those still missing in action.

Each item on the table tells a story:

• The white tablecloth represents the purity of their intentions to serve.
• The empty chair symbolizes their absence.
• The single red rose reminds us of the lives and loved ones left behind.
• The yellow ribbon represents hope for their return.
• The slice of lemon signifies the bitter fate of those missing.
• The salt symbolizes the tears of families waiting for answers.
• The inverted glass reminds us they cannot share a meal with us today.
• The lit candle represents the light of hope and remembrance.
• The Bible stands for strength gained through faith.

Today, and every day, we remember those who gave everything for our freedom.

Have you met the H.O.W.M. Gala guest speaker yet? Meet Cedric King....Master Sergeant Cedric King is the definition of resilience. 🇺🇸

After serving 20 years in the U.S. Army and earning honors including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, Cedric lost both legs during his second tour in Afghanistan in 2012.

Just 21 months later, he completed the Boston Marathon.

Today, Cedric inspires organizations around the world with his message of leadership, perseverance, and overcoming adversity — proving that life’s toughest moments can become our finest hours. 💪
