Part-Time Event Producer (Film Festival)
We’re looking for a motivated, resourceful Part-Time Event Producer to work with our team and help produce the Irish American Movie Hooley—the world’s only film festival dedicated exclusively to Irish American cinema—held at the historic Wilmette Theatre in Wilmette, Illinois.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in film festival production, marketing, event operations, and international filmmaker relations. You’ll work closely with our team to help promote the festival, engage the local community, coordinate with filmmakers, and play a key role in bringing this one-of-a-kind event to life.
Job Description
• Promote the Irish American Movie Hooley (September 25–27) and generate publicity through social media, local organizations, and community outreach.
• Assist with ticket sales and promotion for our fundraiser and special screening of Our Irish Cousins on Monday, August 17.
• Build awareness and excitement for the festival throughout the Wilmette community.
• Serve as our on-the-ground producer leading up to and during the festival.
• Coordinate with filmmakers and festival guests.
• Pick up filmmakers from the airport and provide transportation between the Hilton hotel and the Wilmette Theatre.
• Assist with event logistics and help ensure festival operations run smoothly throughout the festival weekend.
• Be a reliable point of contact and help solve problems as they arise before and during the festival.

What We’re Looking For
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and willingness to use your own car for transportation.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with social media, marketing, public relations, event production, hospitality, or community outreach is preferred.
• Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and managing multiple responsibilities.
Compensation
Compensation is negotiable and will be based on experience.
This is a project-based position with the potential for future producing opportunities on additional film festivals, screenings, and live events, based on performance.
