One Voice of Hunterdon is a prevention agency focused on reducing substance misuse and promoting mental health among adolescents and young adults in Hunterdon County. The mission of One Voice is to bring together law enforcement and community partners with our faith communities in order to have “one voice” to address:

-Substance misuse prevention & recovery, especially for youth
-and other pressing issues that affect the health and safety of our community.

Today - August 31st - is . 💜 On this day, we remember those we have lost to overdose, support the families and friends who continue to grieve, stand with those who are living with substance use disorder, and encourage those working toward recovery. 💙

Last week, One Voice was invited to participate in a roundtable discussion about growing concerns related to the retail sale and misuse of nitrous oxide. 💙 State and local leaders, first responders, medical professionals, and prevention organizations gathered to hear from the Mannarino family, whose advocacy following the loss of their loved one has helped raise awareness about this issue. 🫂 We are grateful to Congressman Kean for the invitation and for the opportunity to be part of such an important conversation. 🙏

One Voice was excited to take part in a series of free dance classes at The Salvation Army Flemington Corps earlier this summer! 💙 The classes were open to the entire community, and participants had a great time learning different styles of dance. 💃 Thank you to the Salvation Army for their valuable partnership in keeping our community connected, happy, and healthy! 🤝

One Voice was happy to visit Fisherman's Mark twice recently for their Backpack Distribution and Farm Stand, connecting with families as they get ready for the start of a new school year. 🎒

We shared information about Narcan, coping strategies, and ways to support well-being during the back-to-school transition. 💙 Kids had fun getting temporary tattoos, making calming jars, and decorating positive-message tote bags to use throughout the school year! 🎨
