Many thanks to Dr. Jenn Purina Horse for sponsoring Ella’s new Soft-Ride Equine Comfort Boots boots and helping our unicorn mini therapy feel just a little more comfortable and sound! Elsa is a great size, not just for our smallest dreamers, but for participants in our perennial senior program or adult caregiver program where we might feel just a bit too intimidated just yet by the big horse but feel safer with Elsa.

Always feeling so grateful to the Baldwin Foundation for sponsoring an entire week of summer camp for our riders with special needs! Our DW mission has always been to close the gap, to open access to farm wellness and horses to the 99% in an industry that’s usually only enjoyed by the top 1%, to ensure that our barn is an inclusive space that feels welcoming to all types of families no matter the background.

We spent the week riding the therapy ponies with the most incredible herd of human unicorn volunteers, gardening and meditations in the forest, painting horses and reinforcing positive self talk and affirmations, practicing stewardship with the goats and donkeys, and just making summer core memories! We can’t wait for our last week of camp with Tri County CMO and then our Dream Riders, therapeutic riding program for children with special needs, begins in September!! Come volunteer if you aspire to make a true human impact 🩶

As always, our partnership with Tri County Care Management Organization is absolutely magical because all children, especially those with special needs, deserve riding unicorns and making childhood memories on the farm, a safe place where everyone is welcomed and feels part of the herd. And another incredible volunteer bonding event with line dancing provided by Arthur Murray Hillsborough followed by a delicious potluck spread! It was a day full of laughs, team work, and great conversation and connection! Feeling so grateful that these magical humans call DW their barn home

For our final Dream Riders lesson of the 2025-2026 program season, it was all smiles, joy, and calm on the wings of our unicorns under blue skies and warm, embracing sunshine.
