🎰 Our biggest fundraiser of the year - Bets 4 Pets Casino Night is November 7th and this year we have moved to The Ridge Wedding & Event Venue!

We have been hard at work putting together another great night for you, the animals and our organization. This fundraiser usually helps fund the first quarter of the year! We hope to push that funding into the second quarter this year 😱

We would like to remind our followers of a very easy, low cost way to support our organization through in app Walmart purchases!

5 simple steps -

1. Open your Walmart app & click account
2. Scroll down & click “Giving & Impact”
3. Click “Select Local Charity”
4. Search SNIP & click “SNIP-EM”
5. Make sure to turn your “Round up to donate” on

When you make a store pick up, delivery or shipping order on your Walmart app make sure on the payment screen your round up box is selected and in blue!

Lexington MO - this is happening right on your town streets.

Cats and kittens with infection, fleas eating them alive and eyes that will have to be removed.

We know how to fix it, we have the appointments to fill for the street cats of Lexington.

Coordinated trapping, neutering and returning the cats that already live right at your back doors.

We need funding, right now between 2 properties there are upwards of 30 cats.

The low end to spay/neuter all of them = $1050
The real cost of antibiotics, s/n surgery, vaccines, flea pills, kitten food and supplies = $3000+

This is for only 2 locations, there are several more around town.

PLEASE community members of Lexington, support us so we can end this suffering. We’ve seen the effects and outcomes when we do TNR at a high level, it works.

On today’s agenda for our Operation Snip ‘Em outreach team…

🪤 We are headed to Lexington to assess a new TNR project, get a plan in place to help the community cat care taker, the cats and the neighbors.

🐱 Quick stop in Higginsville to drop off some pet food for a handful of dogs who lost their owner recently and check in on some kittens.

🐈 Deliver cat litter to our friends at Aces Cat Sanctuary.

🐶 Out to Hideaway Lakes to conduct a meet and greet with Dan the Hound Man, deliver some cat supplies and meet a new dog that is searching for a new home.

Thank you to our director Amy & volunteer Sam for taking the day and bettering the lives of so many animals. Our organization has no paid employees so these ladies are out and about giving back to the community without pay!

While doing outreach in Hideaway Lakes we met a couple that had multiple cats, none were spayed or neutered.

They love their cats and even gave them cute quirky names. Their cats give them a sense of love and companionship but they knew they didn’t need anymore and the inbreeding was starting to cause health issues.

Last Sunday we picked up 7 of their cats, got them spayed/neutered and vaccinated and Sunday we will pick up the last handful.

We are so grateful for the pet owners that are learning, understanding and agreeing to our help for the betterment of their animals and Hideaway Lakes as a whole. ❤️

Sunday outreach at Hideaway Lakes 🐾

We provided food, treats and loves to our favorite girl Sophie. ❤️

Picked up 7 cats for spay/neuter 🐱✂️

Visited 3 hound pups that need new homes, got information on them to search for rescue! 🐶

Thank you to KC Pet Project, Greater Good Charities, Liberty Animal Control & Shelter and our supporters! Our pet food pantry is out of critical state for a couple months!

We still do not have a lot of dry cat food and for some reason that’s always hard to come by.

We are so appreciative of the many organizations working together to help out!

Every week we cover the cost of various different vet appointments for pet owners, in the last 72 hours we have covered the entirety of girlfriends spay, a stray dog that showed up in the rural part of Lawson. Her finder was willing to keep her but couldn’t take the chance of puppies. That was $321.

An emergency vet visit for the sweet boy from Hideaway Lakes that is on our outreach list, he got into suspected poison and when the owner reached out, he was already in very poor condition. Unfortunately he had to be humanely euthanized as his ailments had already taken a severe toll on his body. His bill was around $175.

We also had many vouchers used the last couple weeks, THANK YOU pet owners! Each voucher costs us either $100 or $75.

We are low on funds and that might mean pets suffer.

It’s $5 Friday and if you can, we sure would appreciate your $5 so we can keep saying YES!
