The Ray County Coalition is collecting donations to help support its upcoming Community Back to School Supply Fair on July 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 912 Walton Way in Richmond.

This free event is open to all Ray County families and is designed to help students start the school year strong by providing essential school supplies and connecting families with valuable community resources. The event will also include a light snack and time to engage with fellow classmates and community members.

Donations are now being collected to help make this event possible. Suggested items include lightly used backpacks, calculators, rulers, glue sticks, folders, Expo markers, Post-it Notes, and more.

If you would prefer to make a monetary donation to help purchase supplies for the event, you can email [email protected].

Every donation, large or small, can make a meaningful difference in a child’s education. Thank you for helping support local students as they head back to school.

Please join the Ray County Coalition for the 2026 Candidates Forum and Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Community Building, 312 Clark St. in Richmond.

This event will give candidates running for local and state offices the opportunity to answer questions about issues impacting our youth and communities, including substance use and mental health.

Invited positions include County Clerk, County Recorder, County Treasurer, County Circuit Clerk, County Associate Judge, County Prosecutor, Presiding Commissioner, and House of Representatives.

The event is free, lunch will be provided, and seating is limited. Please register online at RayCountyCoalition.com by June 14.
