And the journey has begun! Yesterday our team and some of our community showed up to kick of Journey for Justice together—we’re walking 42.5 miles over the course of 6 weeks to honor in solidarity the 42.5 million refugees around the world and to fundraise for our refugee neighbors right here in Dallas. It’s not too late to join the journey! Sign up at the link in our bio to walk with us!!

This Sunday, October 4th, we're walking together. 💛

If you haven't seen it by now, our Journey for Justice launches in just a few days, and we know six weeks can be a big commitment. So all we're asking right now is this: show up on October 4th. Come let us share the why and how behind this journey, and how it directly ties to our refugee neighbors.

📆 When: Sunday, October 4th at 3 pm
📍Where: Spring Creek Nature Area Trail in Richardson

Show up on Sunday, bring a friend, and let’s take a walk for justice, one step at a time. 👟

77 names. 77 stories cut short. 77 fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers and children killed in ICE detention since 2025. We were honored to stand in memorial with Clergy League for Emergency Action & Response this morning, a year after one of many deadly ICE shootings, right here at the Dallas ICE field office. We stand in remembrance, in pain, in solidarity, in advocacy, and in hope for a better future for our immigrant neighbors.

42.5 Miles. Six Weeks. One Journey of Solidarity 💛

CWS Dallas, in collaboration with CWS Houston, is proud to launch our campaign, Journey for Justice. This is a six-week journey where we ask you, our community, to get involved and help raise funds to continue our work.

Interested in how it works? It’s simple! 👇

1️⃣ Decide how you want to complete the challenge!
2️⃣ Sign up online by visiting the link in the link tree in our bio.
2️⃣ Get moving to complete 42.5 miles to represent the 42.5 million refugees worldwide.
4️⃣ Encourage your network to donate to your effort!

For everyone completing this 42.5-mile challenge, the goal is to raise $425 per person! So, if a team of 10 is completing this challenge, your goal would be to raise $4,250.

Not only that, but we are also kicking this challenge off in a big way by leading a 1.5-mile walk on Sunday, October 4th!

Sign up today, tag a friend, and take on the challenge together 🤩

“For too many refugees, displacement starts as a lifeline but lasts a lifetime.” - Barham Salih, UNHCR

The UNHCR, or United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, released their mid-year report on a global trends report about forced displacement in 2025.

This agency is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights, and building better futures for people forced to flee their homes, and they serve as a great resource for keeping your finger on the pulse of what is going on worldwide.

If you have some time and are interested in knowing more about the community we serve, take some time to read through this report! The link to read the report is in our story! ⭐

Thank you doesn't feel like enough, but we'll say it anyway. 💛

This was our first year participating in North Texas Giving Day and yesterday, our community (that means you!) showed up for the Afghan Women's Sewing Class and the families who depend on our Global Neighbors Food Pantry. Because of you, students can continue to step further into their own stories as leaders and givers.

Your generosity keeps sewing machines running, pantry shelves full, and a cycle of community-driven giving alive across North Texas.

We see you and we are grateful for you. We are building stronger communities, together, because of you. Thank you! 🎉

With only a few hours left on North Texas Giving Day, we're asking you to be part of something bigger. ✨

This morning we told you about our Afghan Women's Sewing Class, students who turned their new skills into grocery bag holders for families at our Global Food Pantry. Their generosity started with a simple question: how can we give back?

Now we're asking you the same question. Every gift before midnight helps us grow classes like this and keep shelves stocked for families across North Texas.

💛 $50 covers tea and snacks for the cohort
💛 $100 gifts a sewing kit to every woman in the class
💛 $200 puts a sewing machine in a woman's hands
💛 $350 sponsors one woman through the full program

Make your gift before the day ends and stand with women who show up for their neighbors every single day. Visit the link in our bio to donate today! 💛
