We had such an amazing time, laughing, dancing, outbidding friends, gambling and raising money for a great cause! With your support, we were able to raise over $15,000!! We ARE making a difference!!

Happy Spring!

As you know, the Pat Doherty Memorial Fund for Continuing Education, in partnership with Network of Community Ministries in Richardson, is dedicated to the mission of supporting those local individuals who are investing in their future through job training, certification and skill development with the hopes of becoming financially self-supportive for themselves and their families.

In the first quarter of 2024 the Pat Doherty Memorial Fund has been able to help several Network neighbors., and I wanted to share with you a couple of the ways the fund has assisted:

*Behavior health and brain science psychology classes- Christina was homeless for nearly 15 years, with our help she is able to finish her undergraduate program this summer. She has completed a successful job interview with the city of Dallas Fresh Start Program and will be back to work and back on her feet in no time!

*College Credential Evaluation from World Credential Diagnostics LLC.- With our assistance, a nurse from Afghanistan was able to get her credentials evaluated and apply to Dallas College to get her certification as a Medical Assistant. Her experience and training will now be put to use in the medical field offering wonderful career opportunities.

*Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) Exam - Krisitna is a newly single mom of 4. Kristina has been working part time as an office manager but has experience in accounting and paralegal work. We assisted with entrance exam and are helping her in receiving her CPB license so that she can use her degree and experience. She was left with unpaid rent and a large family to support, achieving this certification will be life-changing providing steady income and opportunities for all time employment which would also provide health benefits for her kids.

Thank you all for your ongoing support of the Pat Doherty Memorial Fund and Network of Community Ministries. We have another exciting opportunity for you to help give back to the local community at the Shamrocks and Shenanigans Casino Party on September 14th.
