SENIOR DAY AT THE FAIR

September 3rd started out boarding a Yankee Trails bus with 50 seniors off to the Rensselaer County, Schaghticoke Fair. Our County Executive, Steve McLaughlin surprised us by providing admission tickets and lunch to all seniors from our 5 centers who attended the fair. Through our nutrition department, healthy bag lunches were prepared by the staff under the supervision of Joshau Shepard.

Enjoy the pictures provided by our seniors attending the fair. Debbie stayed at the center to hold down the home front.

Oh! I fell in love at the fair. Check out the picture that someone took as they caught us smooching.

Thursday, September 3, 2026 is Senior Day at the Rensselaer County Schaghticoke Fair.

THERE WILL BE NO PROGRAMS HELD AT THE CENTER.

Lunch will be served at noon with a reservation.

Lori had a packed craft class this morning. Our members made beautiful wooden scarecrow decorations to kick off the upcoming Fall season.

Lori's next class will be held the on September 25th.

Audrey, Medicare Account Manager from CDPHP was at our center this morning to meet with members. She is here monthly to share information and answer any questions.

If you missed Audrey today, she will be back in September.

This month we are featuring the talent of another one of our members, Harry Seaburg. He handcrafted all of these wooden items with a scroll saw.

His display will be up until October.

OUR BOUTIQUE HAS A NEW LOOK

Our boutique has men's & women's clothing, shoes, pocketbooks, jewelry, small housewares, puzzles, dvd's and much much more.

Our boutique is open M-F, 10:00-12:00 and 12:30-2:00.

All proceeds from the boutique stay at our center and go toward the many special events we offer.

Before you toss your can in the recycling bin, please save the tab. We have a collection jug on the library counter top.
