Looking for a good all-around dog? Meet Paisley.

She loves tennis balls, car rides, walks, naps, and being wherever her people happen to be.

At 3 years old, she’s a fun, affectionate dog with a little bit of everything: playful when it’s time to play, easygoing when it’s time to relax, and always happy to be part of whatever you’re doing.

Paisley will be at Curtis Lumber’s PetAPalooza tomorrow, so stop by and meet her in person. And if you can't make it, apply to meet her another time.

The deck project requires zero dogs. Maverick disagrees.

He's been helping his foster parents with it anyway. And by helping, we mean lumber inspection, supervision, and standing exactly where the next board needs to go.

The deck isn't finished yet, but Maverick seems happy with how things are coming along.

Could your life use a little more project management? Apply to meet Maverick. He's happiest when he's part of the team.

Attention, hound lovers: Schmitty has arrived and can't stop smiling.

This young 52-pound hound mix joined us from South Carolina with a friendly personality, a working nose, and no interest in returning to his former life as a stray.

For now, Schmitty is settling into his foster home. We'll list him as available after we get to know him better and learn what kind of home suits him best.

Welcome to Peppertree, Schmitty.

Thumbelina has one tooth, excellent house manners, and absolutely no interest in acting her age.

At 15 years old and 16 pounds, this Italian Greyhound still enjoys walks, exploring the yard, and checking things out. She’s not in a hurry, but she’s not ready to spend her days napping full-time, either.

A recent dental cleaning left her with one snaggle tooth, which somehow makes her even more charming.

Thumbelina gets along with cats, kids, and dogs of all sizes. She rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, and is housebroken with access to a p*e pad. Most of all, she loves being with her people. Give her a couch and a blanket and she’s content.

Do you think a sweet senior might be your kind of dog? Apply to meet Thumbelina and find out.

Senior gentlemen Chipp and Myles made their debut on Pet Connection with Steve Caporizzo last week! To everyone's surprise (and great dismay), these sweet boys have had NO applications, not even a phone call. 😢 Can you help by sharing them?

You can meet both Chipp and Myles, as well as several of our other wonderful dogs, at our adoption event today! Join us from 1:00-4:00pm at the Burnt Hills Veterinary Hospital's Open House Celebration!

A perfect day for Gigi, a 10-year-old house-trained sweetheart, includes a leisurely walk with plenty of time to sniff and explore. Back home, she’s happy with a bully stick and a solid nap near her people, occasionally punctuated by little dream barks that never fail to make her foster mom smile.

Gigi lives peacefully with a dog and two cats. She’s a homebody who prefers familiar faces, a quiet environment, and predictable routines. New people and places can make her a little cautious at first, but she relaxes once she knows she’s safe.

At 43.5 pounds, Gigi is making steady progress on her weight-loss journey. She’s looking for a family committed to daily walks—something she’d happily put on the schedule herself.

If you're looking for a gentle dog who enjoys the quieter side of life, apply to meet Gigi.

Paisley is 46 pounds of “I’ll just sit right here if that’s okay.”

This 3-year-old pit bull mix walks nicely on leash, knows her basic commands, and is nearly house trained. Her favorite hobby appears to be quietly keeping her people company. While you work, watch TV, or move from one room to another, Paisley will likely come along with you.

We don't yet know how she feels about children or cats, but we do know that she's a gentle and affectionate dog.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who thinks hanging out together is a perfectly good plan, apply to meet Paisley.

Chipp & Myles nailed their Pet Connection debut with Steve Caporizzo.

These sweet, polite senior Chihuahuas proved that good things come in pairs. As Steve mentioned, one adoption fee has been sponsored—so you get twice the love for one fee.

If you’re interested in meeting this bonded duo, please submit an adoption application.

Where Are They Wednesday: Brie - Chief Family Officer

At 9 years old, Brie’s favorite things include hiking trails, camping trips, belly rubs, and spending time with her family.

Brie came to Peppertree with her sister, Melanie, from a South Carolina shelter in 2018. Adopted by a local couple, she eventually found herself back in South Carolina when her family relocated—a fitting full-circle moment.

Her mom says she’s a true family dog, but she’s been especially devoted to their daughter, Nora, since day one. She’s also helped raise two younger dogs, bringing them up to sp*ed on the household rules and their place in the pecking order.

These days, Brie spends her time exploring new places, traveling with her family, and conducting routine head counts.

Some of the best alumni updates are the ones that sound wonderfully ordinary. Brie’s is one of them.

Thank you to Brie’s family for giving her the life every rescue dog deserves and for letting us share a glimpse of it.
