Looking for your new best friend? Come meet four wonderful Peppertree dogs this Saturday. Our lineup includes Bodhi, Daisy, Ford, and Johnny Rose.

We'll be at Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection Adoption Day at the Capital District Regional Market from 10 AM-2 PM, rain or shine, under the pavilion. We hope to see you there!

Johnny Rose is an enthusiastic guy who’s a very big fan of cheese.

He loves running around a fenced yard, jumping into a good play bow, often woofing with excitement because, as we all know, some feelings are too important to keep inside!

Johnny is cautious with new people, but once he knows you, he’s affectionate, silly, and devoted. He also loves other dogs (no shyness there!) and is happy to take a few pointers from them.

He’d love a relaxed home environment where he can get lots of pets, spend time in the yard, and curl up beside you on the couch.

If a 33-pound playful, cheese-loving sidekick sounds like a great match for you, apply to meet Johnny.

Trippy gives fall a big thumbs up. Brisk walks, leaves to chase, and more reasons to soak up the sun...on the couch.

He's four years old, 20 pounds, housebroken on a schedule, and looking for a home with one or two active adults. He insists that playtime is all the time...until his toys are put away for the night. No cats or kids for Trippy, but another very playful dog just might be the ticket.

Trippy doesn't like a lot of change, but does love a good car ride. He doesn't want to miss anything or be left behind.

That cute head tilt is here to stay, and so is his charm.

Meet Nugget (left). He’s brand new to Peppertree and has already secured a very good seat.

Found as a local stray, Nugget spent last night with Peppertree alum Benny (right) and his family. Benny handled orientation and reports that Nugget has already mastered “claim the best seat in the house.” (Cue the applause for Benny. 👏)

Today, Nugget moves to his foster home. Sometimes a dog just needs a place to land for a night or two, like Benny’s house, until their foster home is ready. That kind of help makes a big difference.

We’re still getting to know Nugget. He’ll be listed for adoption once we learn more about him. We appreciate Benny and his family helping Nugget out.

Sport has reviewed the forecast and made plans for this beautiful fall weekend.

Get outside early. Make sure the Frisbee gets some exercise. Take a long walk. Investigate a few leaves. Hang out with a dog friend. Keep an eye on his foster parents in case they’re doing something interesting.

Sport is 3, affectionate, active, and happiest where life is a little quieter and there’s room to enjoy it. He’s looking for an adult home in a rural or semi-rural setting, with or without another dog.

Sport is accepting applications for someone to join him. Apply if you’d like to meet him.

Bodhi (right) spent the weekend with Peppertree alum Benny (left) while her foster mom was away. Somewhere between neighborhood surveillance and couch time, this happened.

Benny’s mom caught them casually holding paws. Was it a date? Both dogs have declined to comment.

Paisley is looking for someone who could use an enthusiastic sidekick.

She’s 3 years old, 46 pounds, playful, affectionate, and always up for a car ride. She’s crate trained and making good progress with house training.

Paisley is good with cats and would do best as the only dog. Older kids are a better fit for her energy level. If you’re looking for a dog who’s ready to go places and hang out when you get home, Paisley might be your girl.
