We are seeking fosters in the Reno, NV area!

Our mission is to provide short-term transitional housing for dogs whose owners of our community are temporarily unable to care for them. This includes individuals seeking medical or physical treatment, transitioning into temporary housing that does not allow pets, or facing other short-term crises. By offering this support, we aim to prevent dogs from entering local shelters and prioritize reunification with their original owners whenever possible.

We need your help!

We are beginning to run low on the amount of dog food we have on hand. We have approximately 200 pounds of dog food currently. With us handing out an average of 250 pounds biweekly, we want to make sure we have enough for our upcoming distributions.

To donate dog food to us directly, please use our Wish List link in our bio, and also linked below. This food gets shipped to us directly and will be used to feed pets of our community. We have since added some cat food as well!

Today, we got to see our mission in action.

With the help of our incredible community, we packed up donated dog food and hit the streets of downtown Reno, and we’re so happy to share that we handed out every single bag!

To everyone who supports BarkSide Rescue, whether through donations, shares, or kind words… thank you. You make moments like this possible.

Huge shoutout to the Reno Burrito Project for handing out hundreds of burritos, sandwiches and supplies, and for allowing us be part of something so special. We’re grateful to stand alongside you. This is what community is all about.
