🌟 Registration Now Open – Tribal Entrepreneur Development Program 🌟

The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada’s Native Workforce Development Program is excited to share a FREE opportunity for Tribal community members who are interested in starting their own business.

The Tribal Entrepreneur Development Program, supported by the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), Nevada SBDC, and StartUpNV, is a six-week program designed to help first-time entrepreneurs turn business ideas into successful ventures.

📅 Program Dates: February 23 – April 1, 2026
💻 Format: Virtual learning with mentorship and hands-on training
💲 Cost: FREE

Participants will receive training and support in:
✔️ Business planning and development
✔️ Access to capital and funding preparation
✔️ Marketing and pricing strategies
✔️ Legal and financial fundamentals
✔️ One-on-one mentorship
✔️ Pitch practice and Demo Day presentation experience

This program helps address barriers Tribal and rural entrepreneurs often face by bringing education, technical assistance, and business resources directly to our communities.

Join Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) for the Native American Student Services Summit, designed to support Native students with resources, guidance, and connections that promote academic and career success.

The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada (ITCN) is seeking a Workforce Specialist to join our Native Workforce Development Program!

As a Workforce Specialist, you will:
✅ Support tribal members with employment, training, and career development opportunities
✅ Provide case management, intake, and career planning services
✅ Collaborate with tribal governments, employers, and educational institutions
✅ Contribute to program compliance, reporting, and community outreach

Position Details:
📍 Location: Reno, NV
🕒 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
💵 Pay: $21.79 - $26.69 (DOE)
🚗 Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license and be willing to travel to tribal communities

Qualifications:
- Experience in workforce development, employment services, or community programs
- Knowledge of WIOA and workforce programs (preferred)
- Experience working with Native American or Indigenous communities (preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
