🎬🧡 Grab some popcorn and join us for an evening of film, conversation, and community.

This Hunger Action Month, NeighborImpact's Food Bank team is hosting screenings of The Working Hungry and Food, Insecure, two documentaries that explore the realities of food insecurity and the challenges many individuals and families face every day.

After the films, stay for a live Q&A with Food Bank staff and learn more about hunger in Central Oregon and how our community is working together to create change.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing stories from neighbors who have experienced food insecurity, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how our Food Bank and Mobile Pantry programs operate, and highlighting the impact we can make together.

Hunger affects people in every community across Central Oregon, but together, we can help ensure our neighbors have access to the food they need.

We join the Warm Springs community in honoring the life of Paiute Chief Joseph Moses, who passed away on August 27. Chief Moses served as leader of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs' Paiute Tribe since 2001, following three terms on Tribal Council. His years of dedicated service and leadership will be remembered by many. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and all who are mourning his loss.

🥣 Show Us Your Bowls: Meet Linda & Bob (and Rubik & Locket!)

This week's Show Us Your Bowls feature has a four-legged twist. 🐾

Meet Rubik and Locket, enjoying a treat from Linda and Bob's beautiful Matthew's Fine Woodworks bowls!

Linda and Bob have been attending Empty Bowls for the past two years and have quickly become fans of the event.

"We have been enjoying the Empty Bowls event for 2 years now and absolutely love it. What a great fundraiser and always a packed house."

They especially enjoy the incredible soups prepared by the Cascade Culinary Institute students:

"The Culinary students do an awesome job. 👏 We enjoy getting ideas for soup recipes."

And, of course, they've built quite a collection along the way. Here are four of their Empty Bowls treasures, including a couple getting plenty of use at home!
