In the fall of 2024, Redmond Masonic Lodge #154 voted to sponsor in perpetuity a scholarship for an Aviation Sciences student to honor the life and memory of one of our members MWB Colonel John Turner.

We initially came up with a $1,000 scholarship. In having conversations with Lady Barbara Turner and the Turner family, we were able to give 2 scholarships totaling $3,000 to help these students achieve their pilots licenses in preparation for careers in the aviation industry.

The first scholarships were awarded in 2025 and we were able to award 2 more today at the awards assembly. Tobann Bionda and Trent Cordon were the recipients. Redmond Masonic Lodge #154, AF&AM is very proud to be able to contribute to our community in this manner.
