Safe Acres Animal Sanctuary Safe Acres focuses on rescue & rehab of animals needing help & support. We strive to build community programs & educational systems to aid animal owners!

We stand in defense of abuse, neglect & slaughter bound horses, donkeys & mules. We are Safe Acres Safe Acres is a non profit organization based in Redmond, OR. Non profit #: 501(c)(3) 85-4315873. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, retire, rehome, revive and/or rebuild the lives of animals who need someone to help them through the traumatic and often dangerous situation they are in, through no fault of their own. In addition, we try to incorporate youth and the community through education, volunteer opportunities, job skill training experiences and community service on behalf of the equines. Our goal is equine safety through education and involvement. Safe Acres prioritizes actively helping those who are experiencing temporary hard times and need a little help caring for their equines. Keeping horses in loving homes by offering a hand when times are tough is paramount to successful community relations and to keeping horses in their safe and loving homes and out of kill pens and slaughterhouses.

Uncle Valor received a good report from the vet today! His bloodwork came back with no infection! Now he thinks he needs us to deliver him some mash!

Well.... we've been fighting some harsh battles here lately. Pigeon Fever in older horses is not to be taken lightly. Watch for random swelling in the legs, even with NO external abscesses - the swelling is a warning and needs immediate attention!

Our team has been working around the clock to support our geriatric horses, with one loss and three still dealing with internal abscesses. Check your horses everyone!

It's been nice to have a small reprieve from the flies! I'm so ready for them to die off!
