With many local students heading back to school, RiseUp Partnership is thrilled to partner with the Red Wing Elks Lodge 845 for a giveaway of school, hygiene, and cleaning supplies tomorrow!

Join us Thursday, August 27 from 2 pm - 6 pm at the RiseUp Partnership building. No need to register. Just show up, grab your supplies, and go! Open to all families, while supplies last.

Supplies have been generously provided by Elks member donations and an Elks National Foundation Impact Grant. Hope to see you there!

👋 Say hello to Kasi Nelson, 6th grade science teacher at Twin Bluff Middle School and RiseUp Partnership Board member for the last two years.

Kasi was drawn to our organization because she was looking for a way to support students both in and out of the classroom. RiseUp Partnership proved to be the perfect fit!

Amarie Williams and Katherine Tazin, young leaders from RiseUp Partnership’s Community Youth Council, recently took the stage at the 7th World Conference on Remedies to Racial & Ethnic Economic Inequality. After meeting Jeremiah Ellis from Generation Next at an annual retreat, they were invited to present on the Bystander Effect.

Amarie and Katherine delivered an excellent presentation to an international audience. They also had the opportunity to meet leaders like prominent civil rights activist T. Williams and former Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton.

Thank you to Jeremiah for supporting and mentoring Amarie and Katherine every step of the way. This is the power of collaboration and opportunity in action and a great example of RiseUp Partnership’s Education Partnership Coalition in action.

Here's what's happening in downtown Red Wing on Saturday, August 15:

Starting at 4 pm
• Giant strolling puppets
• Interactive artmaking
• Face painting
• Mini canvas painting
• Collaborative cardboard city
• Street games
• Community screen printing

Around 5 pm
Gather around one long community table for a shared meal featuring soup, salad, and bread prepared by Liberty's Restaurant. Dinner is offered on a pay-what-you-wish basis.

7-9 pm
Join us for a street dance with live music from FlipSide.
