The Greater Reading Young Professionals (GRYP) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization comprised of young, civic minded, social individuals who are professionally oriented. GRYP provides opportunities for young professionals to easily get involved with other business & civic leaders, and a forum to give back to the community. We are a recognized community asset known for helping the region attract
and retain young, professional people (primarily aged 21-45 years). GRYP provides business, educational, volunteer and social networking opportunities through a variety of regularly planned events and activities. Our events and activities are well attended, are viewed as unique, fun, and attractive to our members. For the Greater Reading community, we give businesses and other organizations and their young professionals a place to network and get involved that does not exist elsewhere. We create and enhance local political awareness, have strong relationships with the Chamber, local institutions of higher education, businesses, good of the community organizations, funding organizations, government entities and others. Recognized as the leading voice and resource for young professionals, we operate with a highly professional governing Board of Directors. Our board and committees have clearly defined roles and responsibilities and operate with a high degree of accountability. Our membership is diverse ethnically, organizationally and corporately. We are viewed as a community asset, and everything we do is enjoyable and has a purpose. As a result of all of our efforts, we make a difference in the careers of young professionals and the community as a whole.
