There's really nothing else we can say besides thank you. Every single one of our Fall "soft-launch" openings has sold out less than 12 hours after tickets went on sale. The demand to get into our beloved landmarked is unmatched. If you have visited us on September 6th, 19th or yesterday thank you so much for coming. If you have missed out please do not be discouraged. We are only getting started.

Happy 87th birthday, neighbor! We look forward to ringing in more regular operations in 2027 with you!

The William Penn Memorial Fire Tower atop Mount Penn will celebrate its 87th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 17, with free public tower climbs, historical presentations and an opportunity to explore the surrounding grounds.

The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature local Skyline historians discussing the tower’s construction, the WPA era, the former Gravity Railroad and Summit House hotel. Visitors can also climb 156 steps to the top of the tower for panoramic views of the region.

The anniversary celebration also comes with the introduction of “Tower Sundays,” which will regularly open the landmark to visitors on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. during portions of the year through 2027.

What an amazing first day back! The Reading Pagoda welcomed over 300 visitors yesterday! Our Pagoda team did an amazing job making the day such a success, and seeing so many people excited to be back inside made it even more special. This is just the beginning! ❤🏯❤

Well we did it. What a great day welcoming the public back to Berks County's most iconic landmark. While the day started with our power being out for the first few tours, ultimately it didn't even matter. People love the Pagoda whether the lights are on or not. The sound of happy people echoing through the halls has been long overdue. Thank you all so very much for showing up big time and supporting our efforts.

The time has finally come... We are opening the Pagoda to the public! We have set four dates, two in September and two in October, for our soft-launch to welcome visitors to walk through to see the renovated Pagoda, learn the building's history, and hear about our plans for final operations beginning in 2027.

¡Por fin llegó el momento! ¡Vamos a abrir la Pagoda al público! Hemos escogido cuatro fechas, dos en septiembre y dos en octubre, para nuestra apertura preliminar. Queremos darles la bienvenida para que puedan recorrer la Pagoda renovada, conocer un poco de la historia del edificio y escuchar sobre nuestros planes para comenzar a operar completamente en 2027.
