Leo Curtiss, 7th Infantry, 3rd Division, who was killed in action on 25 July 1918 at Chateau Thierry, France during World War I.

Thank you to everyone who donated a toy for our Niagara County Veteran's Toy Drive. We were able to give toys to two local charities with the remainder of the toys delivered to The US Marine Reserves "Toys for Tots" Program.

We are having an Army/Navy Football Game watch party at the legion this Saturday. Game starts at 3pm. Pizza and wings will be served. Cost is $5.00 and a toy. RSVP to me by Friday.

Thank you to all who came to our BBQ! We sold out over 700 meals.

We would like to thank Niagara County Legislator Irene Myers and the Town of Porter for continuing their support of our Veteran Service Organizations in the Town of Porter.

We would also like to extend a great appreciation to all the businesses and people who so generously donated baskets for our basket raffle and/or sold tickets on our behalf for the dinners.

Thank you to Ransomville Volunteer Fire Company’s Auxiliary for the Macaroni Salad, Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary for the Cole Slaw, Knead the Dough Restaurant for the Butter, and Hardison’s Funeral Home for purchasing the dinner tickets sold.

Thank you to KIPO Chevy for helping to collect the baskets and offering an incentive for donating.

And A Special Thank You to the generous people who donating chicken dinners for the 12 veterans who currently reside at Heritage Manor Assisted living Facility here in Ransomville and the members of the Coast Guard on Duty at Station Niagara in Youngstown today.

We hope you enjoy your Chiavetta’s Chicken Dinner and won big in the Basket Raffle!
