Raleigh Tennis Association The Raleigh Tennis Association (“RTA”) serves as the primary resource for all things tennis!

The RTA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and operates under the guidance of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and in conjunction with the North Carolina Tennis Association (NCTA). OUR MISSION

The Raleigh Tennis Association is committed to growing, promoting, and supporting tennis in the greater Raleigh, NC area. The RTA aims to connect every player or prospective player with opportu

nities to participate in tennis through programming, collaboration, funding, diversity & inclusion, outreach, and advocacy. GOALS

Programming:
Establish new player initiatives, coordinate social and competitive leagues, host tournaments across all levels, organize events, and provide resources. Collaboration:
Build and manage relationships with area tennis providers and facilities in order to further the growth of tennis. Funding:
Raise and distribute funds throughout the greater Raleigh community in order to create opportunities on and off the tennis court. Diversity & Inclusion:
Ensure equitable access to RTA services as well as the opportunity for fair & respectful participation for all. Outreach:
Create initiatives that empower every player or prospective player to join our tennis community. Advocacy:
Team up with local leaders and organizations to advocate for projects that make tennis accessible to all.

If you’ve completed Try Tennis and are wondering “what’s next?”, this class is for you.

Our follow-up Match Play class is designed to help beginner players feel comfortable actually playing the game in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. You’ll continue improving your strokes while learning the parts of tennis that make matches fun and less intimidating, including:

✅ Keeping score
✅ Court positioning
✅ Match strategy
✅ Rallying and point play
✅ Tennis etiquette and flow of play

🏆 Congratulations to Jay Copan and the 65+ 3.0 Men’s team on an outstanding season! 🎾👏

After winning their division, the team advanced to States and captured the State Championship! What an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work, teamwork, and dedication this team showed all season long.

Now they’re headed to Sectionals in November! 🎉
