Taking place on Sunday, November 8th at 3pm in Meymandi Concert Hall, come celebrate America's 250th birthday alongside our 170-voice Symphonic Choir, the Tar River Orchestra, and members of the Tar River Chorus. We will present patriotic works by American composers, featuring “The Song of Democracy” by Howard Hanson (on a poem of Walt Whitman), “The Promise of Living” by Aaron Copland, and the final movement of Michael Daugherty’s “Mount Rushmore” (dedicated to Abraham Lincoln).

To everyone who works, volunteers, and contributes to the work of nonprofits throughout our NC communities: you’re doing a great job.

Because so much of what nonprofits do is woven so deeply into everyday life, people may not even realize that the benefits and services they see all around them, use, and rely on come directly from nonprofits.

It’s in the places we learn.
The arts we enjoy.
The people we turn to.
The care we count on.
The communities we’re part of.

Nonprofits help people, families, and our communities learn, grow create, connect and live every day.

This National Nonprofit Day - and every day - we see you. We appreciate you.
