NEW YORK – FUNERAL UPDATE (REVISED)
Date: April 18, 2026

The Guinean Community of America – GUICA-NY provides the following updated information regarding the deceased members of our community.
As confirmed by the Funeral Committee, the following arrangements have been completed:

* The late Mohamed Kaba has been laid to rest in Westchester County, New York.
* The late Souleymane Bah has been buried in his hometown of Fatako, Tougué, Guinea.
* The late Youssouf Mansaré has arrived safely in Guinea, where his body was received by the President of GUICA and his father. Burial arrangements have been carried out accordingly.

We extend our deepest condolences to all the families affected by these losses. We thank everyone who contributed, supported, and showed solidarity during this difficult time.

Further updates and prayers will continue to be shared with the community.

La Guinean Community of America – GUICA-NY informe la communauté des mises à jour suivantes concernant les défunts.
Comme confirmé par le Comité Funéraire, les dispositions suivantes ont été réalisées :

* Feu Mohamed Kaba a été inhumé dans le comté de Westchester, État de New York.
* Feu Souleymane Bah a été enterré dans son village natal de Fatako, Tougué, en Guinée.
* Le corps de feu Youssouf Mansaré est arrivé en Guinée, où il a été accueilli par le Président de GUICA ainsi que son père. Les dispositions funéraires ont été effectuées en conséquence.

Nous présentons nos sincères condoléances aux familles éprouvées par ces pertes. Nous remercions toutes les personnes qui ont apporté leur soutien et leur solidarité durant cette période difficile.

D’autres informations et prières seront partagées avec la communauté.

GUICA NY – FUNERAL UPDATE

All three bodies — the late Souleymane Bah, the late Youssouf Mansaré, and the late Mamady Kaba — are currently under the care of Islamic International Funeral Services (Brooklyn, NY).

GUICA confirms that the immediate families have been identified and are now in coordination with GUICA and the funeral home.

We sincerely thank the Guinean Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York for their support and timely information.

For Souleymane Bah:
His mother (Haja Hawa Bah) and wife (Fatoumata Diallo) have been reached and are present.

For Youssouf Mansaré:
His father has authorized GUICA to determine the best course of action, whether to proceed with burial in the United States or repatriation of the remains to Guinea.

Les trois corps — Feu Souleymane Bah, Feu Youssouf Mansaré, et Feu Mamady Kaba — sont actuellement pris en charge par Islamic International Funeral Services (Brooklyn, NY).

GUICA confirme que les familles immédiates ont été identifiées et coordonnent désormais avec GUICA et la maison funéraire.

Nous remercions sincèrement la Mission Permanente de la Guinée auprès des Nations Unies à New York pour son soutien et les informations fournies en temps opportun.

Concernant Souleymane Bah :
Sa mère (Haja Hawa Bah) et son épouse (Fatoumata Diallo) ont été contactées et sont présentes.
