If you’ve ever said you wanted a kitten with a big personality, Matty might be your guy. 🤍

He approaches every day like it’s an adventure, whether that means chasing toys, making new friends, or getting involved in absolutely everything you’re doing.

Matty brings a lot of energy, curiosity, and laughter wherever he goes. He loves other animals, thrives on companionship, and has never met a room he didn’t want to explore.

Now all he needs is a family to grow up with. 🐾

18 rescued animals. Countless second chances. ❤️

So far this year, Chester’s Place has continued caring for cats and dogs who were abandoned, surrendered, neglected, or simply had nowhere else to go.

Right now, we’re providing food, medical care, medication, rehabilitation, and a safe place to heal for 14 rescue cats and 4 rescue dogs.

As we move into the second half of the year, our expenses continue while donations often slow down.

Every donation, big or small, helps us continue saying “yes” to animals who need safety, treatment, and a second chance.

Some cats win you over immediately. Others take their time.
Bimby is the second kind. 🤍

She’s independent, confident in what she likes and doesn’t like, and happiest with people who respect her boundaries. There’s something really special about earning the trust of a cat like her.
The longer we’ve known Bimby, the more we’ve appreciated her little routines, her opinions, and the quiet companionship she offers every day.

We hope one day she’ll have a home where she can be someone’s beloved companion again. 🐾

Chester has never been the kind of cat to pretend to be someone he’s not. 🤍

He likes his space, chooses affection on his own terms, and carries himself like he owns every room he walks into. But the people who really know him also know how sweet he can be, sleeping nearby, watching over kittens, asking for head scratches, and quietly wanting companionship in his own way.

He doesn’t need someone to “fix” his personality. He just needs someone who understands it. 🐾
We know there’s a person out there who will absolutely love Chester for exactly who he is.

A little more of Bambi, because quiet cats deserve to be seen too. 🤍

The smallest moments with her feel like huge milestones, choosing to stay nearby, asking for food, relaxing enough to nap peacefully around us.
She’s not loud about love, but it’s there in her own gentle way. 🐾

We can only imagine how much she’ll continue to blossom once she finally has a calm forever home of her own.

She’s gentle, observant, and the kind of companion who makes quiet moments feel special. We know that in the right calm home, her personality will continue to bloom beautifully. 🐾

Charlie, a young tuxedo cat, came to us after being rescued from a shelter. She was adopted quickly, but when the resident cat in the home couldn’t adjust, she found her way back to us.
A couple of months later, one of our adopters connected us with someone looking for a companion for his shy cat, Stormy, who spent most of his time hiding and keeping to himself.
And just like that, everything changed.
Charlie didn’t just find a home, she found her perfect match. She and Stormy are now inseparable: sleeping side by side, watching the world from the window, and sharing their days (and their human) together.
Stories like this remind us why we do what we do. Seeing an adult cat not only get adopted, but truly belong with a friend by her side, is everything. 🤍
