Happy birthday Navy!!! 🇺🇸

⚓ Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Navy! 🇺🇸

Since October 13, 1775, generations of Sailors have answered the call to serve—building a legacy of honor, courage, and commitment.

Today, the Non Commissioned Officers Association honors our Navy’s Active-Duty and Reserve Sailors, Veterans, Retirees, and the families who stand beside them.

We proudly recognize the Enlisted Sailors whose expertise, leadership, and dedication keep the fleet ready and carry its traditions forward. From those serving on their first assignment to those who have completed their final watch, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Join us in celebrating! Share your Navy connection or give a shout-out to a Sailor in the comments. ⚓

💚 World Mental Health Day | October 10

You may be the person everyone depends on—the leader, the caregiver, the friend who always checks in.

You deserve support, too.

Military service, transition, relationships, work, and everyday responsibilities can bring challenges that are difficult to carry alone. You do not have to wait until things become overwhelming to reach out.

🤝 Check in with someone you trust.
💬 Make space for an honest conversation.
📅 Take the next step toward support, even if it starts with one call.

Congressional Update: What Does a State Work Period Mean?

The Senate’s published calendar lists October 5–November 6 as a state work period, with regular legislative business scheduled to resume November 9.

During this time, senators may work in their home states, meet with constituents, and continue work through their offices.

📋 What does this mean for Military and Veteran legislation?

• Pending bills remain pending unless Congress takes further action.
• A proposal or committee announcement does not automatically change your benefits.
• Congressional offices remain a resource for constituent concerns and assistance with federal agencies.

📣 Your experiences matter. Housing costs, access to care, transition challenges, and family support needs can help inform conversations with congressional offices.

Before sharing a legislative update, check the bill’s latest action and whether it has actually become law.
