that little kitty who was found at the bottom of an 8-foot hole? Well, let us just tell you… he is AMAZING! This sweet boy is everything a kitten should be — loving, playful, curious, and full of life. ❤️

We will never forget the tiny cries that led some incredibly kind workers to find him and go above and beyond to get him to safety. We are so grateful they took the time and made the effort to save this little life. Just look at him now!

BlackBerry has landed himself a wonderful foster home, and now we’d love to help him take the next step. We’re hoping to find a foster-to-adopt home — someone who is ready to welcome him into their family with the intention of making him theirs forever.

In the meantime, for your viewing pleasure, we’ve gathered a few feel-good videos and photos of this little survivor in the comments We think you’ll agree that he’s pretty darn special!

If his story has tugged at your heartstrings and you’re looking for the bestest little baby to add to your family, we’d love to hear from you. A foster application is available, and BlackBerry is ready to meet his next chapter! ❤️

GCHA Pet Corner: meet Butter!

Butter may not be the dog who catches your eye first. She isn’t fluffy, she doesn’t have striking blue eyes, and she may not be the one who stands out in a crowd of hopeful faces. But here’s the thing about Butter… Sometimes, the best dogs are the ones you have to meet to truly appreciate. And we have a feeling that, in person, Butter shines in ways a photograph simply can’t capture.

Kittens needing help ❗️
We have been contacted about some young kittens in this pile - in town here in Pulaski. Mom was unfortunately struck by a car and didn’t make it. Is there anyone who has the capacity to carefully lift off the debris to search carefully? Please message and we can provide location

Please consider contacting our shelter and applying to be a foster- they couldn’t leave these guys behind but they simply are at capacity for the number of kennels. They have many dogs - one may be a great fit for a short time. If you have ever thought about fostering- now is the time

Foster found:
Sometimes, the tiniest cries for help come from the deepest places. 💔

This sweet little boy is only 7 weeks old, and somehow he ended up trapped in an 8-foot hole. He was down there long enough that it appears he may have been there for several days. Thankfully, some kind-hearted workers heard his cries and worked incredibly hard to get him safely back out. We are so grateful they didn’t ignore those little cries for help.

Now that he’s out of that hole, he needs somewhere safe to land. ❤️

This little guy has already had a rough start to life, and he deserves a warm, safe place to rest, plenty of food, and someone to show him that the world can be a kind place.

We urgently need a foster for him ASAP. Right now, he has nowhere to go, and we need someone willing to open their home and give this tiny survivor a chance.

Please message us if you can help. . And if you can’t foster, please share this post. His safe place may be just one share away.

He cried for help, and thankfully, someone listened. Now let’s make sure his story doesn’t end with nowhere to go. 🐾❤️

Three beautiful silver-gray siblings, all with the same story we hear far too often. 💔
These babies were almost certainly dumped along with their mom, left to fend for themselves and hoping someone would come along to help. Thankfully, the person who found them was a foster, someone who didn’t just walk away but opened their heart and home to give these little ones a chance.
Now Storm (girl), Smoke (boy), and Smaug (boy) are safe and ready for the next chapter of their lives: finding families of their very own. All three have gorgeous silver-gray coats that make them look like little clouds of smoke, each with a name as unique as they are.
They are scheduled to be spayed and neutered and will soon be ready to head off to their forever homes.
We wish we could change the story that brings so many of these babies to us, but we’re grateful for the people who step up and give them a different ending.
Could one of these beautiful babies be the missing piece in your family? ❤

STILL MISSING - October 22 update

We have received several leads and we appreciate everyone keeping an eye out. Unfortunately, none have led us to her. Many reported sightings have turned out to be other Australian Shepherds with similar coloring.

We’re adding photos in the comments to show her markings more clearly. Please take a close look and continue reporting possible sightings… even if you aren’t certain.

She is missing from Canine Solutions on Powdermill Hill Rd. near the Lawrence–Giles County line, so please watch in both counties. Her home is in the Pigeon Roost area of Pulaski. We don’t know whether she is traveling toward home, but we ask residents there and along the way to watch for her too.

She is fearful. Please do not chase, approach, or call out to her. Report sightings immediately to 931-424-5942 or 931-478-0628, including the location, time, and direction she was traveling.

If you can safely take a picture of the dog from a distance, please send it to 931-478-0628. Photos are very helpful in determining whether a sighting could be her. Please don’t approach her to get a picture or delay calling to take one.

Please keep sharing. Thank you for helping us bring her home safely.
