A word from our Events & Program Manager-

For 16 years, I have had the privilege of serving the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce through Leadership Pueblo, Special Events, and helping drive economic development. Although I am not a Pueblo native, I have developed a deep love for this community and a passion for seeing its people, businesses, and economy thrive.

Through Leadership Pueblo, I help develop future leaders by connecting participants with the people, organizations, and issues that shape our community. Through Special Events, I help create opportunities that bring people together, attract visitors, showcase local businesses, and build community pride. Through Economic Development, I believe in strengthening business relationships, supporting local growth, and helping create opportunities for Pueblo's future.

Over the years, I have seen how a Chamber of Commerce can make a real difference by bringing people together, building partnerships, and turning ideas into action. I may not have been born in Pueblo, but I have invested 16 years of my time, energy, and heart into helping this community succeed.

I believe you don't have to be born in a community to love it, believe in it, and dedicate yourself to helping it thrive. I am proud to be part of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and the work we do to build a stronger future for Pueblo.

The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce invites the community to join us for the official Light Up Union Dedication Ceremony & Celebration! 🎉

📅 Thursday, November 5, 2026
⏰ 5–7 PM
📍 300 Block of Union Avenue (this block will be closed to traffic)
Join us for an evening of community, celebration, and hometown pride as we celebrate the completion of an incredible project led by the Leadership Pueblo Class of 2026!

🎶 Live music featuring Christian Jaquez
🌮 Food trucks
💡 Official dedication ceremony at 6:15 PM, featuring remarks from the class president and special recognition of the sponsors and donors who helped bring this vision to life!

If you’re not familiar with the project, Light Up Union is a 10-month initiative led by 31 members of the Leadership Pueblo Class of 2026 to enhance our beloved Historic Union Avenue Shopping District. Together, the class has helped bring more than 5,000 feet of string lighting and 2,000+ light bulbs to Union Avenue, creating a brighter, more inviting atmosphere for local businesses, residents, and visitors alike.

This project was made possible through generous financial contributions and in-kind support from our incredible local contractors, businesses, sponsors, and community partners. 🙌
Now, it’s time to celebrate what we can accomplish when our community comes together!

This event is open to the public! Bring your friends, bring your family, support our local businesses, and help us celebrate this exciting milestone for Pueblo.
